Tandem Questions

Can I bring my own camera?

Of course! Your camera must be securely tethered to your person, and it must not interfere with any of the paragliding gear. Your instructor will make the final call, but we will do all that we can to accommodate you. Paraglide Moab is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.

How do we take off?

It’s pretty simple; together, we just take a few jogging steps along the ground (there is no running off of a mountain or cliff). We are able to launch from flat ground using our state of the art hydraulic winch. Once we’re all setup and connected to the glider, the winch takes care of the rest! Within minutes, we’ll reach our desired altitude, which is roughly 3000′ AGL (above the ground).

How long are the flights?

Flights are 15-20 min from take off to landing.

Weight Restrictions?

Our maximum passenger weight is 220lbs; minimum weight is weather dependent. Students must be able to run for a short duration (about 30 feet) for landing and take off.

What are the age restrictions?

There are no age restrictions.

What should I wear?

Pants, a long sleeve shirt, sun screen, sunglasses and ankle supporting shoes are recommended. Sandals, crocs, flip flops or any other open-toed footwear are not permitted We also recommend bringing a jacket and gloves, as it may be a little bit colder a few thousand feet up! All technical and protective equipment (harness, helmet and paragliding gear) will be provided.

When and where will we meet?

Meeting time is 6am. We will meet at the Spanish Trail Shell station off of highway 191. Arrive a few minutes early to grab drinks and snacks if needed.
