Paraglide Moab FAQ’s

  • Guests are encouraged to book reservations early in the day and at the beginning of their trip, as the weather can be unpredictable. 

  • Please call 4355354597 for more information or to make a reservation.

  • All Paraglide Moab Tandem Pilots are certified USHPA Tandem Instructors and experienced towing pilots.

  • Flights typically last 15-30 minutes, depending on winds and weather.

  • We expect to reach between 1500-3000ft above ground level depending on conditions. 

  • We utilize a truck-based payout winch to “tow” our gliders to altitude. 

  • Once we have achieved the desired altitude, we release the tow line and free fly back down to landing.

  • Passengers must be between 80lbs and 250lbs

  • Passengers must be able to take a few running steps for launch

  • We operate in a remote location adjacent to Canyonland National Park. 

  • No services are available in the area and guests are encouraged to bring water, snacks, and sun protection.

  • Guests are encouraged to stop and use the bathrooms in the BLM camping areas or scenic overlooks before arriving.

  • Passengers should bring layers of wind-blocking clothing (it gets cold up there), gloves, a buff (neck warmer), supportive "sports" shoes or boots and sunglasses.
